01 — Our Story
A Self-Portrait
in Every Bottle
Seahorse Farm Winery is a self-portrait of its founder, John P. Stratis, MD. The vineyards are located in the Cape May Peninsula Appellation — with the Delaware Bay on the West, the Atlantic Ocean on the East, and the Cape May Canal to the North.
The vineyard cultivates a wide variety of grapes, including three Greek varieties — a creative experiment rooted in ethnic heritage. Once an Equestrian Facility of note, quarter horses are still trained in our barns and fields today.
The winery's architectural design reflects the horse farm's storied past, while the tasting room interior is coastal and artistic — from our sand-colored floor to our blue-sky ceiling and our stained-glass windows.

Food & Drink
We serve charcuterie trays from The Cape May Cheese Shop and other snacks. You're also welcome to bring your own food — no outside alcohol permitted.
Reservations
Walk-ins welcome for parties of
eight or fewer. Larger groups and
formal instructional tasting
sessions require advance
reservation.
Guests & Policies
Children are welcomed in the care
of their parents. Pets are permitted in our "pet" area outside

Crafted from the
Cape may Peninsula
From classic Bordeaux varietals to rare Greek heritage grapes, our wines reflect the unique terroir of the Cape May Peninsula — shaped by salt air, sandy soil, and the passion of our founder.
Cabernet Sauvignon
Rich dark fruit, cedar, and a long coastal finish. Aged in French oak.
Gamay
Bright red cherry, fresh herbs, and a silky texture unique to our Cape May terroir.
Merlot
Plum and dark chocolate with velvety tannins — approachable and elegant.
Blend
A winemaker's blend celebrating the diversity of our vineyard's Greek and classic varieties.
